- _x_f_s__n_c_h_e_c_k with no ----iiii arguments generates an inode number and pathname
- list of all files on the given filesystem. Names of directory files are
- followed by ////..... The output is not sorted in any particular order. The
- filesystem to be examined is specified by the _x_f_s__s_p_e_c_i_a_l argument, which
- should be the disk or volume device for the filesystem. Filesystems
- stored in files can also be checked, using the ----ffff flag.
-
- _x_f_s__n_c_h_e_c_k_6_4 is a 64-bit version of _x_f_s__c_h_e_c_k which is not as susceptible
- to running out of memory. It is available only on 64-bit capable
- systems.
-
- The options to _x_f_s__n_c_h_e_c_k are:
-
- ----ffff Specifies that the special device is actually a file (see the
- _m_k_f_s__x_f_s ----dddd _f_i_l_e option). This might happen if an image copy of
- a filesystem has been made into an ordinary file.
-
- ----ssss Limits the report to special files and files with setuserid
- mode. This option may be used to detect violations of security
- policy.
-
- ----iiii _i_n_o Limits the report to only those files whose inode numbers
- follow. May be given multiple times to select multiple inode
- numbers.
-
- If the filesystem is seriously corrupted, or very busy and looks like it
- is corrupt, a message of the form that would be generated by
- _x_f_s__c_h_e_c_k(1M) may appear.
-
- _x_f_s__n_c_h_e_c_k is only useful with XFS filesystems. For EFS filesystems, see
- _n_c_h_e_c_k(1M).
